Job summary

Arcadis in London is seeking a Principal Electrical Design Engineer to lead electrical design delivery for water and wastewater assets within AMP8, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across the UK. The role focuses on technical leadership, client liaison, and delivering robust design solutions.

You will mentor engineers, oversee complex calculations and drawings, ensure safety and regulatory compliance, and drive digital design using modern platforms.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Chartered Engineer status with membership in a recognised professional institution (IET/InstMC/CIWEM).
• Extensive delivery experience on process plant systems in water/wastewater.
• Experience with design-and-build and digital design platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and advisory services for water/wastewater plants, pumping stations and assets.
• Provide technical leadership in multidisciplinary delivery teams.
• Ensure safety through design leadership and compliances.
• Deliver projects using latest digital design techniques in a Design Lead role.
• Mentor colleagues and manage staff performance.
