About the Opportunity

We are recruiting an Electrical Engineer to join a well-established multidisciplinary building services consultancy in Manchester. This role offers the chance to work across a diverse portfolio of projects, including commercial, residential, public sector, science, research, and mission‑critical environments.

This position is well suited to an engineer who is developing their building services design experience and is keen to progress within a supportive, technically strong team. You will contribute to projects from concept through to detailed design, working closely with senior engineers and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of electrical engineering design across a range of building services projects
• Assist with concept development, detailed design, calculations, drawings, reports, and specifications
• Coordinate electrical designs with architects, mechanical engineers, and other consultants
• Participate in internal design meetings and technical discussions
• Communicate design information clearly to project teams and external partners
• Take responsibility for allocated design tasks with guidance from senior engineers
• Assist with design reviews, compliance checks, and quality assurance processes
• Support the preparation of project documentation and client deliverables

Requirements

• Proven experience working as an Electrical Engineer within building services design
• Experience using Revit and BIM workflows
• Working knowledge of Dialux, Relux, and Electrical OM
• Understanding of lighting, power distribution, containment, and life safety systems
• Experience working in a consultancy or design‑led environment
• Ability to work collaboratively with clients, architects, and contractors
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail
• Motivated to take ownership of tasks and develop technical expertise
