Qualifications

• Design through full project lifecycle experience across sectors.
• Understanding of integrated design delivery and consultant performance.
• Knowledge of BIM and common data environments.
• Degree in engineering, Electrical Engineering preferred.
• Chartered status preferred (CIBSE/IET or similar).
• Strong standards, customer focus, and construction excellence.
• Practical knowledge of construction methods and design solutions.
• Experience with CAD tools such as AutoCAD or Revit.
• Excellent communication with clients and staff.
• Self-driven, results-oriented with strong time/people management.
• Proven ability to manage design teams and coordinate interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Work with Project Manager to manage contracts with external design consultants and contractors.
• Lead technical assurance, review constructability, and manage design interfaces.
• Manage multi-disciplinary teams of engineers from consultants and partners.
• Collaborate with technical, operational, maintenance, and strategic stakeholders.
• Liaise with clients, engineering managers, project managers, contractors and consultants.
• Drive innovative, practical and sustainable design solutions meeting requirements.
• Embed health, safety and environmental considerations into design solutions.
• Ensure integration across civil, structural, geotechnical, mechanical and electrical disciplines.
• Ensure constructability, maintainability and reliability across asset lifecycle.
