Job summary

A leading engineering firm in the UK is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to contribute to innovative projects in automation. The role involves liaising with various teams to improve efficiency and produce engineering designs. Ideal candidates should have an HNC qualification and experience in electrical CAD packages. Full training will be provided for the EPlan design package, fostering career development in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Ideally HNC qualified in a relevant discipline.
• Experience of any electrical CAD package would be considered.
• Methodical & accurate, with excellent communication & problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Electrical Design Engineer – The Role:

• Liaise with shop floor electricians, fitters, lean manufacturing team, QC department related to process improvements, design & safety

• Liaise with software engineers on improvements & assist with implementation

• Recommend new technologies to improve efficiency

• Producing engineering designs & testing documentation

• Infrequent travel to customer or supplier

Electrical Design Engineer – The Person:

• Ideally HNC qualified in a relevant discipline

• Experience of any electrical CAD package would be considered i.e. AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks Electrical & Promis–e etc training on EPlan available

• Methodical & accurate, with excellent communication & problem solving skills

• Full training available for the EPlan design package

The role is commutable from within and around the following locations: York, Hull and Scarborough.
