Job summary

A leading oil & gas design and engineering contractor is seeking a Principal / Lead Electrical Engineer to develop electrical power system designs for Energy Transition and Security projects. The role requires experience in large industrial power systems, including H2, NH3, LNG, and refining projects. This is a contract role expected to last over 12 months, with a competitive rate of £62 per hour. Hybrid working may be possible, and the start date is ASAP.

Job description

We are looking to recruit a Principal / Lead Electrical Engineer to support various Energy Transition and Security projects for our client, a leading oil & gas design and engineering contractor based at their offices in Surrey.

The Role

As Principal / Lead Electrical Engineer you will develop the electrical power system designs required to support the process design.

Requirements

• Experience of experience of designing large industrial power systems, including;
• H2 / NH3 / LNG / Refining projects
• sizing and selection of high voltage equipment
• Large Frequency converters
• AC / DC UPS systems

Development of philosophies and specifications

Input to estimating.

Ability to complete power system studies / calculations using ETAP / review of studies by others

Job Details

Contract role - duration c. 12+ months

Rate : £62 p / h (Ltd co), role expected to be Outside of IR35

Working hours : 40 hrs per week

Location : Surrey - hybrid working for up to 1 day may be possible

Start date : ASAP
