Job summary

Kingston Barnes Engineering is seeking an Electrical Assembler/Panel Wirer to build complex systems and sub-assemblies, ensuring BOM and customer specs are met and supporting ISO standards.

The role requires an electrical qualification (time served, City & Guilds Part 3, HND/HNC, or BTech 3) with wiring, soldering, and drawing-reading skills. Working days include early/afternoon shifts; salary £32,000–£36,000 plus 17.5% shift allowance.

Qualifications

• Electrical soldering, crimping and loom wiring experience.
• Time served electrical apprenticeship or City & Guilds Part 3, or HND, HNC, or BTech Level 3.
• Detail wiring skills to precision level, including lead-free soldering and PCB soldering.
• Panel wiring to schematics.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and fault find with corrective actions.
• Team player with good communication; eligible to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Build systems, sub-assemblies and parts for complex systems.
• Ensure BOM and customer specs are met and build schedules.
• Identify and resolve build problems; report via FRACAS.
• Train and guide less experienced technicians.
• Maintain high standards of build cleanliness, 5S, and safety.
• Contribute to continuous improvement in production.

Role

The Role:D type not PCB soldering, should be able to do both but it is more cable wire solderingBuild systems, sub assemblies and piece parts for complex systems efficiently to the right quality levels and ISO standards, and to achieve build schedulesEnsure that the requirements of the BOM and the customer specification are achievedIdentify and resolve build problemsReport technical issues and record using the FRACAS processMaintain your levels of technical competence by undertaking necessary trainingAct as a point of reference to ensure that the technicians within the build area are fully aware of the build sequenceTrain and guide less experienced techniciansSet an example of the highest level of build cleanliness, house keeping and Health and Safety issues within the build areas, and support and promote 5S initiativesContribute to the performance of the Production Team through continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

Hours

Hours :Working days Early Shift Afternoon ShiftMonday to Thursday = 6am – 2pm or 2pm – 10pmFridays = 6am – 12pm or 12pm – 5pm

Each working week consists of 4 shifts of 8 hours, and one of 5 hours, in accordance with the rota

Salary - £32,000 - £36,000 + 17.5% shift allowance = £37,600 - £42,200
