Job summary

Zero Surplus in Basildon, Essex is seeking an Electrical Assembly Technician to join the production team. You will build and wire complex control boards and assemblies from detailed technical documentation.

You will read wiring diagrams, carry out point-to-point wiring, manage cables, inspect and test assemblies, and use hand and power tools safely. This role offers on-site work with a stable, long-term environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical assembly, panel wiring, or similar manufacturing roles.
• Ability to read and follow technical drawings and schematics.
• Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
• Experience working with electrical components and control systems.
• Good manual dexterity.

Responsibilities

• Assemble control boards and enclosures using a variety of components.
• Carry out point-to-point wiring, including preparation, routing, and termination of cables.
• Ensure high standards of cable management and overall presentation.
