Responsibilities

• Conduct departmental EHS audits including area audits and safety observation conversations.
• Monitor compliance with site EHS procedures and standards.
• Support behavioural safety initiatives and campaigns.
• Assist with implementing improvements from risk assessments.
• Complete and review general and specific risk assessments.
• Contribute to 5-Why investigations for root cause analysis.

EHS Coordinator (Maternity Cover)

As an EHS Coordinator you’ll contribute to Johnson Matthey’s mission as a world leader in sustainable technology, transforming energy and reducing carbon emissions for a cleaner, brighter future.

Responsibilities

• Conduct departmental EHS audits (including area audits, permit‑to‑work audits and Safety Observation Conversations).
• Monitor and support compliance with site EHS procedures and standards.
• Support the rollout and promotion of behavioural safety initiatives and campaigns (e.g. My Team My Responsibility and Take 5).
• Assist departments with developing and implementing improvements identified through ergonomic, general and fire risk assessments and team feedback.
• Support departments and the EHS team in completing and reviewing general and specific risk assessments (e.g. COSHH, ergonomics, fire).
• Contribute to 5‑Why investigations to identify root causes and corrective actions.
