Job summary

Swale Academies Trust is seeking a dedicated Trust EHCP Coordinator (HLTA Level) to join our team and support across primary and secondary schools. You will audit EHCP backlogs, collate multi‑agency evidence, draft applications, and submit robust EHCP requests to secure vital resources for pupils with complex needs.

The role involves working with SENCOs, health professionals, and external agencies while ensuring compliance with the SEND Code of Practice and statutory deadlines.

Qualifications

• Experience navigating the EHCP application process and compiling statutory assessment paperwork.
• Strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and local authority processes.
• Excellent written communication and ability to draft legally defensible reports.
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple cases under deadlines.
• Willingness to travel across Trust sites; many tasks can be completed virtually.

Responsibilities

• Lead evidence collation, draft and timely submission of EHCNA requests across designated schools.
• Audit caseloads and flexibly deploy across schools to tackle backlogs where demand is highest.
• Act as central point of contact between SENCOs, health professionals, and external agencies to gather data.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of SEND Code of Practice and local authority criteria for compliance.
