Job summary

Swale Academies Trust is seeking a dedicated Trust EHCP Coordinator (HLTA level) to provide essential administrative and operational support across primary and secondary Trust schools. The role focuses on auditing SEND backlogs, collating evidence, drafting applications, and submitting robust EHCP requests to secure resources for pupils with complex needs.

You will coordinate with SENCOs, health professionals, and external agencies while ensuring compliance with the SEND Code of Practice.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at grade C/4 or above.
• Level 2 or 3 Diploma (or equivalent) and HLTA standards.
• Proven experience navigating the EHCP application process and compiling statutory assessment paperwork.
• Experience working with children within a learning environment.
• Strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and local authority processes.
• Exceptional written communication and strong organisational skills; ability to manage multiple cases under deadlines.
• Flexibility to travel across Trust sites (many tasks can be done virtually).

Responsibilities

• Lead evidence collation, drafting and submission of EHCNA requests across designated schools.
• Audit caseloads and redeploy resources to clear backlogs.
• Act as central point of contact between SENCOs, staff, health professionals and external agencies for data collection.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of SEND Code of Practice and local criteria for compliance.
