This is a fantastic opportunity for an Assistant Service Manager in West Sussex to support the Service Manager in leading and developing the service team. You'll be instrumental in ensuring the delivery of exceptional customer service and driving operational efficiency.

Your Responsibilities:

• Support the Service Manager with the day-to-day running of the department.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with valued customers, ensuring they are always kept up to date with any developments, addressing any concerns, and resolving any issues in a professional and timely manner.
• Assist in managing all aspects of the service team and workshop.
• Collaborate with the Service Manager to drive revenue growth and profitability through effective upselling and customer retention strategies.
• Assist the Service Manager to ensure that Work In Progress is being maintained at a manageable level in line with company policy and all callouts are being managed and optimised.
• Monitor and improve aftersales processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions to enhance operational efficiency.

• Excellent communication skills, enabling effective interaction with engineers, customers, and colleagues.
• A motivated and positive approach.
• Strong computer literacy and knowledge of Microsoft Office (particularly Word and Excel).
• Attention to detail and high levels of organisation.
• Good understanding of machinery and seasonal pressures faced by customers and the business.
