Job summary

Sense College TouchBase Pears in Selly Oak, Birmingham, is hiring an Education Support Worker on a fixed-term, part-time basis (22.5 hours/week, 39 weeks/year) until July 2027. The role supports learners with disabilities to achieve their EHCP outcomes, develop independence, and participate in education, health, and wellbeing activities.

Experience in SEND is beneficial; Level 2 English/Maths or GCSEs are essential. Personal care support is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 2 qualification in English and Maths or GCSE C/4 or above in English and Maths.
• Ability to work as part of a team and use your own initiative.
• Person-centred approach prioritising learners' needs and aspirations.
• Willingness to support learners with personal care.

Responsibilities

• Support learners to participate in educational activities and develop independence.
• Help learners access community activities and improve health and wellbeing.
• Support learners with day-to-day needs and personal care where required.
