Job summary

Sense College Peterborough is seeking an Education Support Worker to help learners build skills, independence and confidence for adulthood. The role is permanent, part-time (21 hours across three days) during 39 weeks of the year, with a salary of £14 per hour.

You’ll work closely with learners, enabling inclusive learning and contributing to EHCP development. You’ll also support dressing and personal care where needed, maintain records and participate in reviews and team meetings.

Qualifications

• Caring, motivated and passionate about supporting SEND learners.
• Good general education with Level 2 literacy and numeracy.
• Willingness to work towards Level 3 teaching support qualification.
• Understanding of Ofsted Education Inspection Framework.
• Ability to maintain clear and accurate records.
• Willingness to support dressing and personal care.
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues.
• Experience with sensory or dual sensory impairments is advantageous; BS L1 desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support learners to achieve EHCP outcomes and personal goals.
• Assist teaching and learning with inclusive strategies.
• Contribute to learner reviews and education team meetings.
• Maintain accurate records and monitor person-centred plans.
• Support development and monitoring of EHCPs.
• Assist learners with dressing and personal care when required.
