Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated Support Worker for a specialist SEN School and College in Bury. This full-time role involves helping young people aged 11-19 with various additional needs across secondary and post-16 settings.

You will support learning, independence, and social development in a safe environment. Ideal candidates are caring, patient, and resilient, with experience in care or education settings.

Qualifications

• Caring, patient and resilient demeanor.
• Experience in care, support work, education, youth work, residential care, or similar settings.
• Excellent teamwork and communication in a school environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to students with additional needs.
• Encourage participation and independence in daily activities and learning.
• Support students with SEN and complex needs while promoting dignity and respect.
• Assist with personal care where required and manage challenging situations.
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families to optimise outcomes.
