Job summary

Redsquid is seeking a motivated IT support professional to join our mobile 1st/2nd line team. This role involves on-site weekly maintenance visits to a range of schools and remote ticket responses via our service desk, supported by an experienced team.

You will help shape the school's ICT strategy, ensure a reliable, secure environment, and develop technically and personally through our Professional Development and Training Scheme.

Qualifications

• Experience in 1st/2nd line IT support in the education sector.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 suite and education IT.
• Willingness to perform on-site maintenance visits.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and respond to tickets logged via the service desk.
• Escalate tickets when needed and provide guidance.
• Resolve issues with permanent fixes to restore service quickly.
• Develop IT infrastructure using new technologies.
• Install computers, printers, and network hardware.
• Maintain classroom hardware including projectors and interactive displays.
• Maintain staff and student devices to support lessons.
• Manage local domain and cloud accounts.
• Re-image devices using the school's reimaging solution.
• Support staff with IT training.
• Respond swiftly to any abuse of the IT infrastructure.
