Job summary

Redsquid Communications Ltd is seeking an on-site IT support professional to maintain and improve ICT provision across schools from our Cranfield office. You will monitor the service desk, resolve issues, and work with leadership to shape IT strategy that supports high-quality teaching and learning.

The role offers opportunities to develop, learn and progress, with a focus on hardware and software infrastructure, security, and reliable classroom technology.

Qualifications

• 1st/2nd line support experience in education sector.
• Proficient in Microsoft 365 administration and services.
• Experience with Windows Server (Hyper-V, AD, DNS, DHCP, GPO).
• Experience with Windows 11 and troubleshooting applications.
• Basic understanding of networking.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and respond to tickets via the service desk.
• Escalate tickets where needed for further support.
• Take ownership and perform problem analysis to implement permanent fixes.
• Innovate and develop IT provision using new technologies.
• Install new computers, printers, and additional hardware.
• Maintain classroom hardware including projectors and interactive screens.
• Maintain staff devices to ensure reliable lessons.
• Maintain student devices and termly checks on ICT assets.
• Manage user accounts in local domain and cloud services.
• Re-image devices using the school’s reimaging solution.
• Support staff training on IT usage.
• Respond quickly to abuse of IT infrastructure.
