Job summary

ResilAient Talent Hub is seeking an experienced School Technician to deliver hands-on and remote IT support across educational environments. You will assist schools in keeping technology running smoothly while supporting staff and students with a reliable IT service.

The role covers site visits, software support, hardware deployment, network configuration, and safeguarding tools, with opportunities to work independently and with a wider IT team.

Qualifications

• Strong background in IT support; experience in schools desirable.
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure, Gmail/G-Suite and Google Classroom.
• Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, Hyper-V/VMware, Veeam.
• Good understanding of networking basics: LAN/WAN, DHCP and DNS.
• Experience supporting Android and iOS devices.
• Familiar with education filtering and safeguarding software.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Attend scheduled and ad-hoc site visits to provide hands-on technical support.
• Investigate and resolve technical issues with proactive problem solving.
• Communicate clearly with clients and update on progress and next steps.
• Record and document work through managed service tickets.
• Collaborate with 2nd and 3rd line support teams where required.
• Diagnose, repair and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, AV equipment and peripherals.
• Install, configure and troubleshoot Windows, macOS and Linux OS.
• Support educational software and productivity apps.
• Deploy and re-image hardware; configure printers and print accounts.
• Manage network user accounts, permissions and profiles.
• Configure and troubleshoot LAN/WAN, Wi‑Fi, VPNs and networking equipment.
• Support DHCP and DNS; help maintain cybersecurity measures.
• Provide remote support using Remote Desktop and TeamViewer.
• Escalate complex issues to appropriate teams.
• Maintain technical documentation and network diagrams.
• Assist with IT projects and work both independently and in a team.
