Job summary

Agilisys is seeking a Schools ICT Engineer to provide onsite ICT support at a large secondary school in St Helens. The role focuses on maintaining day-to-day IT services, supporting staff, students, and visitors, and ensuring a high-availability environment.

The candidate should have strong Windows knowledge, hardware and software support experience, and be capable of working in a mixed Windows/macOS environment. DBS checks are required, and the role is onsite 5 days a week.

Qualifications

• 5 GCSEs (English & Maths) required.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft operating systems (Windows 10/11, Windows Server).
• Experience supporting hardware and software: PCs, laptops, printers, projectors.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals in a managed environment.
• Familiarity with mixed Apple and Microsoft environments, including basic Apple device support.

Responsibilities

• Provide face-to-face and remote ICT support to students, staff and visitors.
• Log, manage, and resolve ICT incidents within SLAs and KPIs.
• Build, configure, and deploy end-user devices for staff and students.
• Install and update applications on user devices.
• Support school printers, projectors and other equipment.
• Complete administrative tasks including asset management and documentation.
• Support school events and collaborates with other ICT engineers.
