Job summary

Chartwells Schools is seeking a Supervisor to help ensure smooth operations, contracted to 35 hours per week and 43.6 weeks per year. You will supervise frontline teams, manage rotas and stock, and uphold food safety and hygiene standards.

The role requires a proactive, communicative team player who can perform under pressure and contribute to a positive work environment within education catering.

Qualifications

• Previous experience supervising frontline teams within a similar environment
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Team player with a can-do attitude
• Ability to work under pressure while staying positive

Responsibilities

• Ensuring all deliveries are checked and stored promptly and correctly
• Supervising a team and creating a welcoming, supportive environment
• Being a responsible key holder
• Assisting with weekly bookwork and other duties as needed
• Producing weekly rotas following manager's guidelines
• Placing orders for stock to maintain correct levels
• Delegating where necessary and ensuring proactive team performance
• Complying with Food Handling & Hygiene standards
• Complying with Health & Safety regulations
