Job summary

Chartwells Schools is seeking an experienced Catering Supervisor to oversee Compass Group UK&I catering and service operations for Chartwells on a part-time basis, contracted to 25 hours per week across 43.6 weeks per year.

You will ensure kitchens run smoothly, deliver exceptional food and customer service, manage teams, and uphold Health & Safety standards. A minimum of two years in catering and a Basic Food Hygiene certificate are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of catering experience.
• Basic Food Hygiene certificate.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ambitious and motivated with a desire to upskill.

Responsibilities

• Preparing delicious food to the highest standards.
• Supervising culinary and catering teams to deliver impeccable food and customer service.
• Communicating with line manager to monitor KPIs and targets.
• Representing Compass Group UK&I and maintaining a positive brand image.
• Liaising between customers and culinary/service teams to exceed expectations.
• Training and supporting teams to excel in their roles.
• Implementing and reviewing Health & Safety standards across all catering and service teams.
