Job summary

London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking an ED/UTC Pathway Co-ordinator to support patient flow through the Urgent Treatment Centre and Emergency Department. You will help maintain bed stock, monitor throughput, and work with divisions to meet national 4-hour targets.

Based mainly at Ealing hospital, with cross-site duties as required. The post involves data reporting, escalation of capacity issues and liaison with internal and external stakeholders to sustain KPI delivery.

Responsibilities

• To be responsible for providing administrative support to the clinical teams by keeping Cerner up to date and maintain an accurate bed state in UTC and ED, through face-to-face communication with the Nurse in charge in UTC, ED and acute floor.
• To ensure every patient is tracked to an external or internal pathway and treated as quickly as possible, ensuring this is achieved within the national 4-hour target.
• Maintain and up-to-date record of patient tracking on Cerner and escape to the Nurse in charge regarding bed demand, acuity, capacity pressures and waiting time within the department.
• To support the Service Manager to ensure all administrative process are delivered related to admitted and non-admitted flow and ensure all actions are carried out in line with agreed process and policies.
