Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Emergency Department Patient Flow Assistant to support daily patient movement in the ED. You will help maintain up-to-date plans, ensure clerking is real-time, and reference patients on trackers to support safe and efficient care.

The role also involves recording bed bookings and referral timings, ensuring clinician-verified coding before discharge, and preparing information for safety huddles using the standard template.

Qualifications

• NHS ED environment experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Maintain up-to-date ED patient plans.
• Ensure clerking is up to date in real time.
• Cross reference all ED patients to ensure those referred are on the tracker.
• Accurately input Bed Booked times.
• Record referral times to specialties and outcomes.
• Ensure coding is completed by a clinician prior to discharge.
• Gather information for daily safety huddle and complete the template.
