Job Description:

Commercial:

In line with company objectives to optimize sales performance by managing individual customers/groups in line with the Aftermarket Sales Strategy & Plans.

To prospect and secure targeted new business, whereby TotalEnergies is the preferred brand.

To act effectively as a business consultant, executing local sales and marketing plans, including all promotional offers.

To have a clear understanding of the ‘end to end’ offer and management thereof: Customer credit worthiness; Product supply position; Product premiumization; Product range and pack size proposition; Payment & debtors’ book.

To ensure the company's HSEQ policies are enforced at all times and to eliminate risks to staff and the environment.

To negotiate and re-negotiate prior to expiry, formal contracts with new and existing customers, including the negotiation of acceptable product debt security.

Working alongside other functions:
  • To work with Marketing to identify industry, channel, and competitive best practice promotions.
  • To work with Customer Service and Supply teams to progress and manage back-office supply, customer inquiries.
  • To identify sales opportunities with promotions.
  • To implement and roll out promotions to participating members.
  • To cooperate with the pricing department in configuring profitable proposals.
Training / Support:
  • To ensure TotalEnergies information is provided to all stakeholder needs.
  • To work closely with TotalEnergies technical team to ensure customers have adequate training and knowledge.
  • To provide support to customers regarding product ranges, stocking, and new product introductions.
  • To monitor and capture marketing pricing as required.
  • To ensure TotalEnergies uses all avenues to gain brand exposure.
Qualifications/Skills Required:
  • Graduate caliber.
  • 5 years of commercial KAM experience in the Auto aftermarket B2B/B2B2C is essential, with exposure to Motor Factors and involvement in prospecting to partnership development.
  • Strong prospecting ability within the Auto aftermarket industry (preferably lubricants).
  • Excellent customer presentation skills, record keeping, results/target driven, enthusiastic.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and independently.
  • Experience in creating commercial offers using basic financial costings.
  • Understanding of channel processes, procedures, and customer nuances.
  • Proficiency in PPT, PowerBI, Word, Excel, and CRM systems (SALSA).
  • Experience working in matrix organizations and multicultural environments.
  • Strong fact-finding, proactive, influential skills.
  • Existing channel contacts are a plus.
