Job summary

TeacherActive is seeking a Nursery Practitioner for flexible supply work across Huddersfield. Start immediately and choose days that suit you, with opportunities for longer placements or permanent roles.

You will support children's development through engaging activities and routines, partnering with experienced nursery teams to ensure a safe, stimulating environment. Ideal candidates have at least 6 months in UK childcare, a Level 2/3 qualification, and a good EYFS understanding.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months' experience working with children in the UK.
• Level 2 or Level 3 Childcare/EY qualification desirable.
• Experience in nursery/early years setting preferred.
• Good understanding of EYFS framework.
• Ability to use initiative and adapt to different nursery environments.

This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals looking for day-to-day supply work, with the flexibility to choose the days that suit your availability. There may also be opportunities for longer-term placements and permanent positions within the nurseries.

As a Nursery Practitioner, you will be responsible for supporting children's learning and development through engaging activities, creative play and daily routines. You will work alongside experienced nursery teams to create a safe, welcoming and stimulating environment for children.

The successful Nursery Practitioner will have:

• A minimum of 6 months' experience working with children in the UK
• A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years (desirable)
• Previous experience working in a nursery, childcare or Early Years setting
• A good understanding of the EYFS framework
• A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development
• The confidence to use their own initiative and adapt to different nursery environments
• A caring, reliable and enthusiastic approach
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team
