Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a Nursery Practitioner for a busy 70-place nursery in Wakefield. You will support children aged 0-5, provide engaging activities and maintain a safe, positive EYFS-aligned environment. Both part-time and full-time hours are available.

The successful candidate will hold Level 2/3 Early Years qualification (or QTS), have EYFS experience, and demonstrate a reliable, flexible approach. PAYE payroll and 24/7 consultant support accompany competitive pay rates.

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a large 70 place nursery setting in Wakefield. The nursery provides a welcoming environment for children aged 0-5, supporting their learning, development and engagement throughout the Early Years.

The nursery is looking to take on a Nursery Practitioner for both long-term and day-to-day opportunities, with part-time and full-time hours available. The successful Nursery Practitioner will support children across the setting, helping to provide engaging activities, maintain a safe and positive environment and support children in line with the EYFS.

Key responsibilities and qualifications

• A relevant Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification, or QTS
• Experience working with children aged 0-5 in an Early Years setting
• Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
• A positive and enthusiastic approach to supporting children
• The ability to adapt across different nursery rooms and age groups
