Job summary

TeacherActive is seeking a motivated Early Years Practitioner to provide flexible cover across private day nurseries in Huddersfield. You will support learning through play and daily routines, working with experienced teams to create a safe, welcoming environment for children.

Ideal candidates have at least 6 months UK experience and may hold Level 2/3 Childcare qualifications. Flexible hours and potential longer placements are available.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months experience working with children in the UK.
• Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years (desirable).
• Previous experience in a nursery, childcare or Early Years setting.
• Good understanding of the EYFS framework.
• Genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.
• Ability to use own initiative and adapt to different nursery environments.

Responsibilities

• Support children's learning and development through engaging activities, creative play and daily routines.
• Work alongside nursery teams to create a safe, welcoming and stimulating environment for children.
• Provide flexible cover across different nursery settings.
• Contribute to smooth daily operations and routines.

This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals looking for day-to-day supply work, with the flexibility to choose the days that suit their availability. There may also be opportunities for longer-term placements and permanent positions within the nurseries.

As a Nursery Practitioner, you will be responsible for supporting children's learning and development through engaging activities, creative play and daily routines. You will work alongside experienced nursery teams to create a safe, welcoming and stimulating environment for children.

The successful Early Years Practitioner will have:

• A minimum of 6 months' experience working with children in the UK
• A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years (desirable)
