Job summary

TeacherActive Limited is recruiting Nursery Practitioners to provide flexible cover across private day nurseries in Huddersfield. You will support children's learning through play and daily routines, working with nursery teams in a safe and stimulating environment.

Ideal candidates have at least 6 months of UK childcare experience and a Level 2/3 in Childcare or Early Years (desirable). There may be longer-term placements or permanent roles for successful applicants.

Qualifications

• 6 months UK childcare experience
• Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years (desirable)
• Understanding of the EYFS framework
• Passion for supporting children's learning and development
• Ability to use own initiative and adapt to different nursery environments

This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals looking for day-to-day supply work, with the flexibility to choose the days that suit their availability. There may also be opportunities for longer-term placements and permanent positions within the nurseries.

As a Nursery Practitioner, you will be responsible for supporting children's learning and development through engaging activities, creative play and daily routines. You will work alongside experienced nursery teams to create a safe, welcoming and stimulating environment for children.

The successful Nursery Practitioner will have:

• A minimum of 6 months' experience working with children in the UK
• A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years (desirable)
• Previous experience working in a nursery, childcare or Early Years setting
• A good understanding of the EYFS framework
• A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development
• The confidence to use their own initiative and adapt to different nursery environments
• A caring, reliable and enthusiastic approach
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team
