Job summary

Amey is seeking a Graduate Civil Engineer to join its Highways & Transportation Practice in Sheffield. You will work with a team delivering schemes for national and local highways, supporting engineers from day one on meaningful projects across the UK.

The role offers a structured development pathway, a starting salary of £31,000, a 40-hour week, and a September 2027 start date. Hybrid and flexible working options are available alongside a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• Civil/ Structural Engineering Degree at Grade 2:1 or above
• A Full UK driving Licence

Responsibilities

• Prepare/ contribute to technical reports, design proposals, and client presentations
• Support the delivery of engineering projects for national and local highways
• Contribute to asset management strategies and lifecycle planning
• Use industry-standard software and tools to model and analyse options/performance
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including structural, geotechnical, environmental, and transport engineers
• Develop innovative solutions and designs that comply with industry standards and guidelines
• Deliver robust designs enabling clients to manage assets safely and efficiently
