Amey's Graduate Civil Engineer role sits in the Highways & Transportation Practice, shaping infrastructure across the UK. You’ll learn from experienced engineers while contributing to meaningful highway projects from day one.

Starting salary £31,000, 40-hour weeks in Birmingham, with a September 2027 start. You’ll prepare technical reports, assist design proposals, support project delivery, and help develop asset management strategies with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Civil/ Structural Engineering degree (2:1 or above) required.
• Full UK driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare/contribute to technical reports, design proposals, and client presentations.
• Support the delivery of engineering projects for national and local highways.
• Contribute to asset management strategies and lifecycle planning.
• Use industry-standard software/tools to model/analyse options/performance.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including structural, geotechnical, environmental and transport engineers.
• Develop innovative solutions and designs that comply with industry standards and guidelines.
• Deliver robust designs enabling safe, efficient asset management.
