Job summary

Amey is seeking a Graduate Civil Engineer in Newcastle to join our Highways & Transportation Practice. You will support a team of engineers on a portfolio of schemes for clients, contributing to reports, design proposals and client presentations.

Starting salary is £31,000 with a 40-hour week. This graduate pathway offers learning and development opportunities, flexible and hybrid working options, and exposure to national highways projects across the UK.

Qualifications

• Civil/ Structural Engineering Degree at Grade 2:1 or above.
• A Full UK driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Prepare/Contribute to technical reports, design proposals, and client presentations.
• Support the delivery of engineering projects for national and local highways.
• Contribute to asset management strategies and lifecycle planning.
• Use industry-standard software and tools to model and analyse options/performance.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including structural, geotechnical, environmental, and transport engineers.
• Develop innovative solutions and designs that comply with industry standards and guidelines.
• Deliver robust designs to enable safe, efficient management of assets.
