Job summary

DPD UK is recruiting a Shift Manager at our Crawley depot. You will lead a team of drivers, engage drivers for reliable, on-time deliveries, and drive KPI-based improvement in core routes and SPR targets.

The role requires strong people leadership, excellent communication, and a proactive approach to safety, reporting, and compliance within a fast-paced parcel operation. Early start and weekend work as part of a Tuesday-Saturday schedule.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced operation with direct accountability for a high-performing team.
• Strong communication to inspire, motivate and manage a workforce.
• Ability to report and analyse data to monitor performance.

Responsibilities

• Ensure depot targets for core routes are achieved.
• Ensure SPR (Stops Per Route) targets are met and routes are set correctly.
• Coordinate driver allocations and ensure timely scanning/loading of vans.
• Maintain effective communication with drivers and manage ad-hoc collections.
• Ensure documentation and systems are completed accurately and in line with requirements.
• Work to KPI targets: Service, Cost, Productivity, Transport and Health & Safety.
• Achieve Depot Clean in line with targets.
