Job summary

DPD UK in Reading is recruiting an experienced Shift Manager to strengthen depot operations management. You will lead a busy team to meet core route targets and ensure timely deliveries.

This role requires strong communication, decisive leadership and a focus on safety and efficiency. The position offers permanent hours, a 40-hour week and a salary around £40,000 plus bonus, with benefits from day one.

Responsibilities

• Ensure depot target for Core Routes is achieved.
• Ensure depot target SPR is achieved.
• Set up delivery and collection routes correctly.
• Direct drivers to scan and load vans safely and on time.
• Maintain ongoing communication with drivers to resolve issues.
• Ensure ad-hoc collections are picked up by drivers or agencies.
• Complete documentation and systems in line with requirements.
• Work to defined KPIs including Service, Cost, Productivity, Transport and Health and Safety.
• Achieve 'Depot Clear' in line with targets.
