Job summary

DPD is seeking an experienced Shift Manager to strengthen our depot operations management team. You will work closely with self-employed Owner Drivers and Employed Drivers, building strong relationships, keeping the drivers engaged, motivated and focused on delivering outstanding service.

In this fast-paced role you will drive KPI targets for routes, SPR, and safe loading, while coordinating resources and maintaining accurate reporting.

Responsibilities

• Achieve depot target for Core Routes.
• Hit Stops Per Route (SPR) targets.
• Set up all delivery and collection routes.
• Ensure drivers scan and load vans safely and on time.
• Maintain ongoing communication with drivers to resolve issues.
• Arrange resources for ad-hoc collections via pool or agencies.
• Complete documentation and systems in line with requirements.
• Set KPIs for service, cost, productivity, transport and health and safety.
• Achieve Depot Clear in line with targets.
