Job summary

Witham-based air compressor supplier is seeking an organised, proactive Service Coordinator to join their team. You will coordinate engineers, support customers and ensure service operations run smoothly on-site in Witham, Essex.

The role requires experience in service coordination, engineering administration or customer service, with strong organisational and scheduling abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel/Outlook) and ERP familiarity, such as Sage 200, is beneficial.

Qualifications

• Experience in service coordination, service administration or customer service.
• Excellent organisational and scheduling skills.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel and Outlook.
• Experience coordinating engineers or field service personnel.
• Experience with ERP systems, e.g. Sage 200.

Responsibilities

• Schedule maintenance, breakdowns, repairs and installations.
• Coordinate engineer diaries and allocate service jobs.
• Manage Outlook calendars and improve daily workloads.
• Respond to customer breakdown calls and service enquiries.
• Maintain accurate CRM records and service documentation.
• Process service job sheets and customer purchase orders.
• Act as the first point of contact for service enquiries.
• Build strong customer relationships through excellent communication.
• Prepare and follow up quotations for repairs, servicing and spare parts.
• Support the Service Manager with departmental targets and growth opportunities.
• Keep customers informed of job progress and completion timescales.
• Input service orders and customer purchase orders into Sage 200.
• Produce invoices promptly following completed work.
• Raise purchase orders and process supplier documentation.
• Coordinate spare parts ordering and prepare picking lists.
• Monitor stock levels and support stock replenishment.
• Produce despatch documentation for carriers.
• Produce daily, weekly and monthly service reports.
• Monitor outstanding quotations and service jobs.
• Assist with tracking engineer utilisation and service performance.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
