Job summary

Mears Group is seeking a proactive Planner to join the repairs team in Cambridge. You will schedule operatives and subcontractors, track daily progress, and ensure accurate data in IT systems.

You’ll be the key link between residents, operatives and colleagues, delivering a responsive, high-standard repair service. Ideal candidates will have GCSE English & Maths, experience in fast-paced environments, and strong IT skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in planning repairs and scheduling multi-trade jobs.
• Strong IT proficiency with job management systems.
• Excellent time management and organisational skills.
• Customer-focused approach with effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Schedule operatives and subcontractors to optimise resource use and on-time delivery.
• Monitor daily repair progression including appointments and follow-ups.
• Ensure PDAs and schedule of rates are updated in IT systems.
• Communicate clearly with residents, operatives and stakeholders.
• Coordinate with administrators, supervisors and contractors for seamless service.
• Attend meetings or training as required and cover for other planners when needed.
• Maintain records for audits and compliance.
