Job summary

South Gloucestershire & Stroud College is seeking staff to work closely with curriculum teams to support learners. The role involves in-class collaboration, supervising during unstructured times, and providing targeted academic assistance to individuals or groups.

Applicants should have GCSEs in Maths and English at grade C or above (or equivalent), and be willing to upskill. Experience with 16-25 age group and additional needs is desirable, with term-time, part-time hours offered.

Qualifications

• Willingness to upskill if GCSEs are not met.
• Experience with young people aged 16-25 with additional needs is desirable.
• Able to work collaboratively with curriculum staff.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with curriculum staff to support learner progress in the classroom.
• Supervise learners during breaks, lunch times, arrivals and departures.
• Provide out-of-class academic support for learners individually or in groups.
• Complete administrative duties, recording student support accurately.
