Job summary

TeacherActive is seeking a Learning Support Assistant in South Gloucestershire to join a school on a full-time, long-term basis starting September 2026.

You will support students across Key Stage 3 and 4 with one-to-one and small-group interventions, promote positive behaviour and work closely with teaching staff to help pupils reach their full potential.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people in school, college, youth work or similar setting.
• Confidence supporting students one-to-one and in small groups.
• Understanding of effective behaviour management strategies.
• Experience supporting students with SEN and/or SEMH is desirable.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Patient, enthusiastic and proactive approach to supporting learning.

Salary: £96.25 to £105 per day

The school is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will support students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, delivering one-to-one and small group interventions, helping pupils overcome barriers to learning, promoting positive behaviour, and working closely with teaching staff to ensure every student has the opportunity to reach their full potential.
