Job summary

Long Term Futures is recruiting Learning Support Assistants to support learners with EHCPs across Gloucestershire at various FE sites. Roles include 1:1 and classroom support, with hours varying and both full-time and part-time opportunities.

Start date ASAP is available, with safet y checks and DBS references required. Candidates should have GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent) and experience with SEND or behavioural needs.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths or equivalent required.
• Previous experience supporting learners with SEND or additional/behavioural needs is desirable.
• Patient, supportive and adaptable approach when working with young people.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and classroom-based support for learners with EHCPs and additional needs.
• Prompt and scaffold tasks to help learners understand instructions and complete their work.
• Support learners across Maths, English and PSHE.
• Accompany learners between lessons and provide break or lunchtime support.
• Support positive behaviour, engagement and independence throughout the college day.
• Work closely with teaching and support staff to ensure learners receive consistent support.

Learning Support Assistant Location: Gloucester (GL2) Pay: £95 - 115 Per Day Hours:
8.30am - 5.00pm Contract: Temp to Perm Start Date: ASAP The Opportunity We are looking to appoint reliable and flexible Learning Support Assistants to support learners across several Further Education sites in Gloucestershire.

These are fulltime and part-time, ongoing positions covering gaps within the existing support team, with hours varying depending on the needs of each site.

You will support learners with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) across a range of lessons, providing prompting, encouragement and appropriate scaffolding to help them engage with learning and develop greater independence.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and classroom-based support for learners with EHCPs and additional needs
• Prompt and scaffold tasks to help learners understand instructions and complete their work
• Support learners across subjects including Maths, English and PSHE
• Accompany learners between lessons and provide break or lunchtime support where required
• Support positive behaviour, engagement and independence throughout the college day
• Work closely with teaching and support staff to ensure learners receive consistent support

Who We're Looking For

• GCSE English and Maths, or equivalent
• Previous experience supporting young people with SEND, additional needs or behavioural needs
• A patient, supportive and adaptable approach to working with young people
• Confident supporting learners within a classroom and wider college environment
• Reliable and flexible, with the ability to cover varying hours depending on the needs of the provision
• A strong commitment to safeguarding and supporting positive outcomes for young people Trial days are being arranged immediately for an ASAP start.
