Job summary

Kerv is seeking a User Experience researcher to join the UX team. The role requires conducting user research, usability testing, and turning insights into actionable design decisions.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create accessible, user-centered services and support GOV.UK standards where applicable. You will work in a hybrid setup with office visits as needed, contributing to ongoing digital transformation projects and helping shape responsive, inclusive experiences for

Qualifications

• Good knowledge of qualitative research methods including user requirements gathering and early-stage concept and prototype testing, guerrilla research, and other approaches to ensuring user needs are fully understood.
• Experience working on GOV.UK services following GOV.UK GDS service standards and assessment processes.
• Effective communicator with excellent presentation skills and ability to facilitate research sessions.
• Able to work in an open, iterative, collaborative multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research to uncover user needs and inform design decisions.
• Lead or contribute to usability testing and evaluations across services.
