Job summary

Digi2al Limited is seeking a User Researcher to plan and execute diverse research activities, identifying user needs and journeys to shape services and products. You will work with PMs, designers and developers to embed research in agile delivery and turn findings into actionable insights.

You will contribute to prioritisation, backlog refinement and design iterations, while promoting user-centered, accessible digital services aligned to the Government Service Standard.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in a dedicated user research role, ideally in Agile.
• Proven experience in both generative (discovery) and evaluative (testing) research.
• Strong communication and ability to advocate for the user to non-researchers.
• Experience facilitating workshops or collaborative analysis with stakeholders.
• Ability to source and secure research tools to enable analysis and synthesis.
• Collaborative, personable and a clear visual/verbal communicator.
• Recruiting and engaging research participants.
• Developing personas and user journey maps.
• Proficient at conducting virtual interviews.
• Security clearance SC is required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute a broad range of user research activities to inform design.
• Embed user research into agile delivery with product managers and designers.
• Contribute evidence to prioritisation, backlog refinement and design iterations.
• Support continuous improvement of live services through ongoing research and feedback loops.
• Ensure services meet Government Service Standard principles, especially user needs and accessibility.
• Be flexible to on-site work as required for the project.
