Version 1 is seeking a senior User Researcher to shape accessible services for public sector clients. You will guide discovery and delivery, lead multidisciplinary teams, and mentor colleagues to strengthen Version 1's user research practice.

You will work in a client-facing role, ensuring evidence drives decisions and aligns with user needs and business goals, while advancing the GDS Digital Service Standard.

Qualifications

• 5+ years leading user research in Agile environments.
• Experience with UK public sector service design and GOV.UK patterns.
• End-to-end research from study design to actionable insights.
• Strong mix of qualitative and quantitative methods.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver user research for complex projects, informing product, service, and strategy decisions.
• Participate in client meetings, workshops, and presentations with actionable recommendations.
• Develop strong client relationships by anticipating needs and driving outcomes.
• Mentor junior researchers and foster a collaborative working environment.
