A.F. Blakemore & Son Ltd is seeking a Duty Manager for the Monkmoor SPAR store to lead a team through all operating hours and ensure exceptional customer service. You will support the Store Manager, manage daily operations and drive store profitability with a hands-on leadership style.

The role emphasizes safeguarding store standards, coaching colleagues, and maintaining strong community engagement while delivering KPI targets and a safe, compliant shopping environment.

Qualifications

• Previous management or supervisor experience within a food retail or similar fast-paced operation.
• Committed to achieving and sustaining exceptional customer service standards.
• Able to plan, organise and prioritise effectively.
• Able to communicate and influence at all levels.
• Flexible and positive attitude.

Responsabilités

• Support the Store Manager to ensure a safe, legal and high performing store, taking overall responsibility during Duty Manager shifts.
• Assist in delivering all store operations, objectives and KPIs.
• Coach and support colleagues, developing a motivated and empowered team.
• Carry out performance and absence management as appropriate.
• Open/close the store and manage colleague safety and stock/cash security during shifts.
• Carry out cash reconciliations, voids and refunds and other management tasks for till staff.
• Lead the team to deliver an exceptional customer experience and set us apart from competitors.
• Engage with and support the local community, promoting the store.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
