A.F. Blakemore & Son Ltd is recruiting a Duty Manager for our Aberavon SPAR store. You will support the Store Manager, lead a team, and ensure high standards of service and store performance across shifts.

The role involves planning, supervising daily operations, and maintaining a safe, compliant, and welcoming store environment, with duties including opening/closing, cash handling, and customer engagement.

Qualificações

• Previous management or supervisor experience within a food retail or similar fast-paced operation.
• Committed to achieving and sustaining exceptional customer service standards.
• Able to plan, organise and prioritise effectively.
• Ability to communicate and influence at all levels.
• Able to take appropriate action and make decisions.

Responsabilidades

• Supporting the Store Manager to ensure a safe, legal and high performing store while taking overall responsibility during Duty Manager shifts.
• Assisting the Store Manager to deliver all store operations, objectives and KPI’s.
• Managing, coaching and supporting colleagues to develop an empowered team.
• Carrying out performance and absence management as appropriate.
• Occasional opening/closing of the store, and stock/cash security during shifts.
• Carrying out cash reconciliations, voids and refunds and other management tasks for till colleagues.
• Leading the team to provide an exceptional customer experience and drive sales.
