Job summary

Iceland is seeking a committed Duty Manager to join our team in-store, supporting and leading the sales floor during shifts. You will manage staff, promote excellent service, and ensure smooth daily operations with a focus on availability, sales, and customer satisfaction.

The role includes a £2 per hour supplement for the time you manage shifts, and a commitment to delivering great customer experiences in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a retail management or supervisory role ideal but not essential.
• Communicates effectively with every colleague to deliver store tasks first time, every time.
• Plans and organises the shift, using every member of the team.
• Provides balanced feedback when needed to improve the performance of every colleague.
• Sets the pace of the team, when on shift, by being hands on to deliver a great store.

Responsibilities

• Maximise profit by ensuring product availability and driving sales.
• Deliver on actions set for you by your line manager.
• Support team engagement and development to foster an inclusive culture.
• Follow cash handling and security policies and procedures.
• Provide the best digital service by implementing One Best Way processes.
• Lead the store team with an approachable and respectful leadership style.
