Job summary

Everyone Active is seeking an ambitious Duty Manager to support the day-to-day operations of our leisure centre, overseeing H&S, driving customer service excellence and backing the team.

You will supervise staff, manage operational procedures, ensure a safe, welcoming environment for all visitors, and handle onsite issues promptly. This is a full-time, on-site role with DBS checks and weekend work.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership and team management skills.
• Strong organisational and multitasking skills to manage daily operations.
• Knowledge of health and safety compliance standards and experience implementing procedures.
• Exceptional communication and customer service skills for staff and the public.
• Experience in leisure or health & fitness industry is advantageous.
• Essential: National Pool Lifeguard Qualification, First Aid qualification & Pool Plant Operator; IOSH desirable.
• Proficiency in administrative tasks and IT systems is desirable.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the day to day operations of the centre, overseeing health and safety, driving customer service excellence and supporting the team

We need a Duty Manager who will…

National Pool Lifeguard, First Aid at Work & Pool Plant Operators qualifications will need to be achieved within a set timescale if not qualified. This position will involve day, evening and weekend work, including public holidays and will also require a DBS check prior to starting. You will oversee day-to-day operations at our facility, ensuring the seamless delivery of services and a safe, welcoming environment for all visitors. Responsibilities include supervising staff, managing operational procedures, maintaining health and safety standards, and providing exceptional customer service. The role also involves addressing any onsite issues promptly and effectively and supporting the overall success of the facility. This is a full-time, on-site role.

• Strong organizational and multitasking skills to manage daily operations and prioritize tasks efficiently.
• Knowledge of health and safety compliance standards and experience in implementing related procedures.
• Exceptional communication and customer service skills to engage effectively with both staff and members of the public.
• Experience in the leisure or health and fitness industry is advantageous but not essential.
• National Pool Lifeguard Qualification, First Aid qualification & Pool Plant Operator are essential, with IOSH being desirable.
• Proficiency in administrative tasks and the use of IT systems is desirable.
