Job summary

Nuffield Health Gosforth Gym in Newcastle is seeking a Duty Manager to help run the club, deliver excellent member service and lead a team on shifts. You will engage with members, ensure safety, and model best practice across operations.

The role includes conducting tours for prospective members and coordinating on-site health and safety duties. This permanent, full-time position offers a competitive salary up to £28,038.40 depending on experience, with additional sales commission.

Qualifications

• You must have proven sales experience and a track record of delivering high-quality customer service.
• Strong communication skills, a collaborative mindset and a proactive, can-do attitude are essential.
• Experience in supervising or leading a team is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth running of the club, including opening and closing during shifts.
• Prioritise member satisfaction by engaging with members and building relationships.
• Lead by example, supporting colleagues and maintaining high standards.
• Conduct tours for prospective members to highlight benefits.
• Oversee health and safety protocols and address issues promptly.
• Be able to swim to a high standard and support Lifeguard breaks on site.

As a Duty Manager, you will:

• Be responsible for the smooth running of our club; including the opening and closing the club when on shift
• Prioritize Member Satisfaction, Engage with our members, fostering happiness and building strong relationships.
• Lead by example, support and guide your colleagues while upholding the highest quality standards.
• Conduct tours for prospective members, highlighting the unique benefits that only Nuffield Health provides
• Oversee health and safety protocols, addressing any issues swiftly and effectively.
• Be able to swim to a high standard and be willing to undergo training at site, due to covering Lifeguard breaks
