Job summary

Parkwood Holdings Limited is hiring a Duty Manager for Garstang Swimming Centre. The role is permanent, full-time, with 40 hours per week and a salary of £28,125.36.

The successful candidate will help deliver outstanding customer and staff experiences and ensure strong safety standards. You will engage with members, lead a team, and contribute to developing innovative leisure programmes to increase centre usage and profitability.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer-facing roles and maintaining high service standards.
• Strong awareness of health & safety in a leisure facility.
• Ability to lead a small team and coordinate daily operations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high health & safety and customer care standards within the centre.
• Engage with members to prioritise satisfaction and build relationships.
• Assist with developing and promoting leisure programmes to drive usage and profitability.
• Lead tours for prospective members and support recruitment and retention.
• Communicate effectively at all levels of the organisation.

As a Duty Manager you will

• Ensure the highest possible standards of health & safety and customer care within the centre.
• Prioritise member satisfaction, engage with our members, building strong relationships.
• A national pool lifeguard qualification is desirable but not essential as we can fully fund the course

*Ideally you will have a Pool Plant Operations qualification and a recognised Leisure Management qualification

• Will be able to perform Lifeguard duties when required.
• Be able to communicate at different levels of the organisation.

*To develop and promote exciting, innovative leisure programmes to help to increase the usage and profitability of the centre.

*Conduct tours for prospective members
