Job summary

Freedom Leisure is recruiting a Duty Manager to lead a team in our leisure centre. You will manage day-to-day operations, ensure friendly, clean, and safe facilities, and contribute to the centre’s performance. The role offers training and progression opportunities during your career with us.

The post is 37 hours per week on a rota basis, with a supportive environment and a commitment to inclusion. We welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds to join our team.

Qualifications

• RLSS National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) or equivalent is preferred.
• Experience in Duty Management or similar roles.
• Experience working in customer service and staff management.
• Willingness to train and develop professionally.

Responsibilities

• Actively manage, develop and motivate a team of operational staff.
• Oversee day-to-day duty management and running of the Leisure Centre to a high standard.
• Contribute to and understand the business and budgetary performance of the centre.
• Be a proactive member of the leisure centre team and support colleagues.
• Demonstrate ongoing professional development and industry passion.
• Maintain flexible working with autonomy and confident decision making.
• Respond to variable demands and think on your feet.
