Job description

DSP Engineer

Location: Gloucester
Working Schedule: 4 day week, full-time on-site

Package: Salary from £50,000 - £80,000 DOE + pension + other benefits

We have an exciting role to work as a DSP Engineer, which will place you at the forefront of innovation, engaging in advanced Research & Development for software-defined radio (SDR) systems. You will be pivotal in developing payloads for key Defence, Cyber, and Intelligence programmes.

Key Responsibilities as the DSP Engineer:
  • Reverse engineer hardware, software, and signals of RF systems for vulnerabilities and improvements.
  • Develop and optimise SDR solutions using advanced DSP techniques.
  • Design and innovate new DSP algorithms to enhance SDR performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to integrate DSP solutions into larger systems.
  • Participate in testing and validation efforts through real-world experimentation.
Required Skills and Experience:
  • Strong background in DSP, algorithm development, and optimisation.
  • Experience in reverse engineering RF systems and signal analysis.
  • Proficient in programming with Python, C, and/or C++.
  • Knowledge of signal modulation/demodulation techniques and digital communications.
  • Familiarity with GnuRadio and FPGA/RFSOC development is advantageous.
  • Enhanced DV clearance is required for this role
