Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. at the Greene King site in Avonmouth (BS11 0YD) is seeking a Driver Mate and Warehouse Operative to support transport and warehouse operations, ensuring efficient site performance and smooth delivery and collection processes.

The role is full-time and permanent, on the early shift from 05:00, Monday to Friday. Benefits include a salary of £30,578.88, holiday pay, pension, a 24/7 online GP service and life assurance, plus access to GXO University and other staff perks.

Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading vehicle.
• Assist throughout the delivery and collection process.
• Carry out tasks/ reasonable requests as required.
• Report issues to customer care.
• Take ownership of paperwork.
• Support the driver with navigation as required.
• Work as a banksman when required.
• Assist depot with off-loading and stowing of empty containers.

Job description

This is a fantastic opportunity for a dual-role position as a Driver Mate and Warehouse Operative at our Greene King site in Avonmouth (BS11 0YD). You will work closely with the transport team to support GXO Logistics in fulfilling its responsibilities for the distribution of Greene King products. In addition, you will provide support across the warehouse operation as required, ensuring the site runs efficiently and operational needs are met.

This is a full time, permanent role. You will be working Monday to Friday on the early shift, starting 05:00.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Loading and unloading vehicle

• Be responsible for reporting issues to customer care
• Take ownership of paperwork
• Support the driver with navigation as required
• Work as a banksman when required
• Support depot with the off-loading and stowing of empty containers
